Midlands Gives 2024
BRBR is excited to once again be a part of Midlands Gives! This year Midlands Gives is on May 7th, but you don’t have to wait until then to support our heroes, early giving opened on April 1st! We need your help to spread the word about the good works of The Big Red Barn Retreat so we can reach our GIVING GOAL of $30,000. Your donations will help us serve the military and first responder community who are struggling with trauma.
Monies raised from Midlands Gives will go to fund our flagship program, Warrior PATHH (Progressive and Alternative Training for Helping Heroes) program. Warrior PATHH is the nation's first non-clinical program designed to cultivate and facilitate Posttraumatic Growth among those struggling with PTSD and/or combat stress.
How you can help:
Create a Fundraising page - Fundraising pages are a way to connect your passion and network by creating your own personal campaign to raise money for the BRBR. You choose the donation goal, get the word out and become a champion for the BRBR!

Set up a matching fund - Organizations and business's can create excitement and show support for the Big Red Barn Retreat and the Veterans and first responders we serve by creating a matching fund for Midlands Gives Day.
Lake Murray Boat Run
The Dam Boat Run at Lake Murray will showcase what can only be described as some of the most impressive works of nautical beauty, style, and engineering that the world of power-boating has to offer! Boating enthusiasts from across the country will come together for two days of a thundering show of power and performance touring Lake Murray, South Carolina all in an effort to raise awareness and support for causes for which we all care about very deeply, such as our veterans and first responders.
You have the chance to sponsor this event!! As a sponsor of The Dam Boat Run at Lake Murray, you will directly impact The Big Red Barn Retreat and the Richland County Sheriff's Department. Additionally, Your business and your message will reach a wide and diverse spectrum of participants and observers.
BRBR Oyster Roast
The Big Red Barn Retreat proudly announces its second annual oyster roast fundraising event! On March 15th, 2024, the BRBR Oyster Roast, presented by The Folline King Group at Merrill Lynch, A Bank of America Company, will be a fun-filled celebration featuring a delicious Irish feast, live music, a silent auction, and raffle opportunities! The event runs from 6 PM to 10 PM at the gorgeous and historic venue 701 Whaley.
All proceeds from this event will support the Big Red Barn Retreat's programs and services for Veterans, Active-Duty service members, First Responders, and their families.
Charity Pickleball Tournament
Join us at the 2nd annual Charity Pickleball Tournament benefitting the BRBR, presented by Dems Jewelers! 100% of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Big Red Barn Retreat's programs and services, so that we may continue to offer them at no cost to our heroes!

Giving Tuesday 2023
Each year in late November, people across the world come together to offer generosity towards the nonprofit organizations that mean the most to them during #GivingTuesday. This year on November 28th, help the Big Red Barn Retreat raise funds to support our Active-duty, Veteran, and First Responder communities through our numerous free programs and services.

Gervais Street Bridge Dinner
The Gervais Street Bridge Dinner is an annual community event that raises funds for local non-profits. The three-course dinner began in 2015 and is set on the historic Gervais Street Bridge which joins two counties, and runs 1,415 feet in length.
The Big Red Barn Retreat is honored to be chosen as one of this year’s beneficiaries of the 2023 Gervais Street Bridge Dinner. If you are interested in attending the dinner subscribe to be one of the first to know at the link below as tickets will go on sale and typically sell out very fast.

The Murph Challenge
The Memorial Day “Murph” Challenge is a fitness competition to benefit the Special Operations Warrior Foundation in Memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, who was killed in Afghanistan on June 29th, 2005. Devoted Christian Benefit Ride
The Devoted Christian Benefit Ride will benefit the Big Red Barn Retreat. The ride will begin at Harley Haven located at 941 Western Lane, Irmo, SC 29063. Registration begins at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 6, 2023. The event will end at the Big Red Barn Retreat 8024 Winnsboro Road, Blythewood, SC 29016.

Oyster Roast On The River SOLD OUT!!!!!!!
The Big Red Barn Retreat is proud to announce its very first oyster roast fundraising event. On March 17th, 2023, the BRBR St. Patrick's Day Oyster Roast on the River, presented by FN America, will be a fun-filled celebration featuring a delicious buffet feast provided by Haile Street Grill, live music and entertainment, and raffle opportunities! Entry will be from 5 PM to 9 PM at the gorgeous venue Stone River, West Columbia.
All proceeds from this event will go towards supporting the Big Red Barn Retreat's programs and services for Veterans, Active-Duty service members, First Responders, and their families. The programs provided by the Big Red Barn Retreat teach our nation's heroes the tools and techniques they desire so that they may live their lives the way they deserve. The BRBR offers many different and unique, methods of emotional and psychological regulation, such as equine-assisted learning, yoga and tai chi classes, meditation training, peer-to-peer support groups, farm to table cooking classes, and the BRBR's 7-day on-site Warrior PATHH program, all completely for free for service members. All services offered by the BRBR allow service members to create positive and transformative changes in their personal lives.
